Planning ahead and getting a group of guys from your church or community together will be a very rewarding effort. In The Zone is an opportunity to have fellowship with the guys and connect with new ideas for finding balance in your life, working hard for your employer without checking your spiritual convictions at the door, making your marriage spiritually strong against all odds, and becoming the father you want to be. So round up the guys for a fast-paced event filled with tailgating, honest guy-talk about life's challenges, outrageous sports clips, multi-media scrambles, and some serious belly laughs. Bring your men’s group, your buddies, your next door neighbor, your father or yourself, just don’t miss it!
Here are some ideas from other Group Leaders:
Instead of paying a speaker to come to your church for a retreat, schedule your men’s group to attend and come and sit together. This can be your men’s retreat! You won’t have to worry about getting a speaker, paying his travel bill or finding a location for a retreat. Just leave the planning to ITZ!
Road trip! Consider caravanning or renting a bus to make the trip to In The Zone.
Tailgate prior before the event.
Have a men’s meeting at your church or men’s group to introduce In The Zone and answer questions about the event. You can request resources including posters, flyers, emails and video clips on the inthezone.org by contacting us. Have a sign-in sheet with names, addresses and email addresses so you can follow up with the group of guys afterwards. You can come as a group if you wish or just as individuals.
If an In The Zone Representative is in your area prior to the In The Zone scheduled event, he would love to attend and make a presentation to your men’s group. You can contact us ahead of time and we will try to set this up at info@inthezone.org .
This is a great opportunity to invite male neighbors, coworkers, or family members to join you at this event. The casual atmosphere of this conference provides a “safe” place to bring someone who may not be comfortable in the usual church setting.
Use this as a community outreach or opportunity to interact with other churches. Invite different churches to come together and form a group to get to know one another and share transportation expenses. You might have a church bus to share or want to charter a bus with another church. This is great way to network with other men in your community.
Got an idea? Tell us about it! Send your group suggestions to info@inthezone.org .
